LADACIN Network's 8th Polar Bear Plunge is taking place on Saturday, January 16th. Yes, we jump in the frigid ocean, and we certainly have a great time doing so, but you should understand what LADACIN is and why our Team is dedicated to supporting this incredible organization. LADACIN is the acronym for Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs. It truly is a LIFE CHANGER for the thousands of families in Ocean and Monmouth County NJ who have a loved one with a physical or development disability. One example is Cerebral Palsy but LADACIN has grown to provide lifetime assistance to so many other disabilities. LADACIN provides therapy, schools, homes, jobs and support services to over 3,500 infants, children and adults who have cerebral palsy or other physical/developmental disabilities. TEAM BIKINI is once again participating at the 8th Annual Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, January 16, 2016 (MLK Weekend). The host for the pre and post-plunge festivities is once again Leggetts Sand Bar in Manasquan. Registration kicks off at 10:00 a.m., the actual plunge takes place at 12:30 and the post-plunge party lasts until ??? We honor our military with a United States Marine Color Guard that leads us to the Ocean along with an Irish Marching Band. Afterwards, there will be a 50/50 raffle, food buffet for plungers/donors, 95.9 WRAT will broadcast live from the Event and awards for the individuals that raise the most $ and for best team/individual costumes. Prizes for most $ raised will be announced as we get closer to the event. This is an unbelievable event/party for a most deserving cause.
Every donation made to this event goes toward LADACIN's greatest needs. LADACIN uses the $ we raise to purchase buses, build parks, furnish apartments, etc. These are just a few limited examples, but the point is, 100% of your donation goes to the infants, children and adults who NEED it.
