We can continue to provide quality programs and services for infants, children and adults with complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays

We are hoping that you will help us raise funds to ensure LADACIN Network can continue the good work that they do for the 3,500 families they serve in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

April 28th My sister and I will be running for Team LADACIN participating in the 5K, part of the NJ Marathon weekend events April 27th-29th. Our team participates in the NJ Marathon held on the Jersey Shore in my old home town of Long Branch.

We choose to run to support the LADACIN Network, but moreover to honor our sister Catherine. Our family and those closest to us have experienced many valuable life lessons as a result of growing up in a family with disabilities. Our oldest sister, my parents' first child and first daughter, Catherine, was born on July 30th 1978. She was born 4 weeks post mature, much later than her expected due date originally set for late June. As a result there were many complications that ultimately resulted in Catherine becoming severely handicapped. Our parents strength is purely unmeasurable, both, together sacrificed so much of themselves to provide a very normal life for their children- all 4 of us!

Today we are on three years this April that our Angel has gone on to run, dance, skip and jump in Heaven, surely with her contagious laugh and beautiful smile that made you know she was fully aware.

Catherine has always exposed our family to a very special strength and courage to get out and conquer this life! We were encouraged by our parents to live and to participate to the fullest, because Catherine didn't have the choices nor the abilities we were very fortunate to have. This is why we choose to run! Catherine pushes us in all that we do! Without her in our lives we may not appreciate each day and realize what a gift it truly is to “live" fully. But, where we stand now, we are so proud to say that we are motivated every day to show the greatest love, honor and support to our sister and our family.

By donating in support of LADACIN Network (Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs) you will help this wonderful networks mission to provide a continuum of care, including educational, therapeutic, social, residential, support services to infants, children and adults with complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays.
